The Resort's location offers the best of both worlds. At the tip of a barrier island, it is surrounded by waterways that flow into the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway. They lead into Matanzas Bay which is St. Augustine's historic downtown waterfront.

Progress has led to the construction of a beautiful arched bridge that goes over the Intracoastal just one block from the Resort. It takes pedestrians, bikes and motor vehicles from Vilano Beach to historic downtown St. Augustine at the west end. Yet the area remains pristine.

Guests can walk a few steps from the hotel to the unspoiled beach where they will see waves washing against a jetty and a view of the barrier island and the St. Augustine Lighthouse in the distance. Around the corner, a tide pool of salt water is perfect for families with small children.
